Dining Room Chairs Facelift

by Julie Daniel on November 18, 2009

in Design

My dining room chairs are hand me downs from my parents… they had the potential to be cute chairs but they were covered in some not so hot fabric.  My step mom had recovered them a few years back in yellow tea cup fabric…maybe they fit in when they were in my parents house but [...]

Retrouve Chair

by Julie Daniel on May 31, 2009

in Design

I love the Retrouve Chair from The Conran Shop but I could never in a million years justify spending $750 on a single chair (seriously- who is going to spend that?)

I just found a MUCH cheaper $149 version at Anthropologie…. much better!

I am going to have to get over my phobia because I am beginning to LOVE the website 1st Dibs.  It lists antiques from various dealers.  Here are some great things on there [...]

in Design

I am in major need of a new desk chair… I have had the same icky black generic one since Freshman year of college and I hate it.  I am breaking one of my own rules to not keep anything in your home you don’t love.  But I’ve learned in decorating focus on one thing [...]

by juliemdaniel on January 25, 2009

What could be better than a whole room with everything from Ikea?
My housemate just bought this lovely dresser from Ikea.  The Hemnes Chest With 8 Drawers is a lot larger than it looks in the picture.

I think this Inger fabric would look absolutely lovely next to the dresser.  The more I look at it the [...]
